Do animals have souls?
No doubt.
I know from many sources that the church claims that animals have no souls and cannot tell time. The term often used is that animals have no concept of God.
In my experience, nothing could be further from the truth.
Oh, my God. No, they have no concept of God because they don't need to. They're just connected to a higher source in a way that we can't understand.
We humans spend our whole lives sitting in silence, learning to meditate and saying to ourselves, "I need to connect with God, I need to connect with my higher self," and so on. That's for us as humans. Connecting with this "conceptualization" takes a lifetime of work and practice. In contrast, animals don't need to conceptualize or work at it. They are in a natural state of connection with source.
Have you ever watched an animal sit for hours and hours looking out the window? What do you think they are doing? They are in a state of meditation. They are fully connected to the present moment, to the source, and they are in a peaceful state. They don't worry about the past, they don't worry about the future, they are in a state of meditative bliss. (Not that they do it all the time, they grieve, feel sadness, etc., they just do it more easily than we do).
We humans need to set aside time for this, let go of all our crap and ..... meditate. The animals are already there, from the beginning. Animals not only have souls, but are on a higher spiritual plane than humans.
How did humans become so egotistical that they believe we are the be all and end all of life? That thought alone takes us away from the source and spirituality.
