I often have to think of all the wildlife animals in the winter and of what they’re doing. Hiding from the frost, looking for food, overcoming obstacles we humans have prepared for them, or their own natural predators and competitors. Most of their lives they worry, fear, live in darkness, often ill, hurt and in pain. Maybe that is why I like to pretend, life’s different, safe, with no threats and warms homes. I particularly enjoyed this painting, because working on it warmed my soul up and freed me of pain. I believe, this painting will find a home with people in it, who will benefit from being around it just like I did.
