If I leave out all of the Anderson stories, another of my favorites is the one by Frantisek Hrubin “Kvetuska”. And it also is the one to become my main inspiration for this piece of painting. Just watching little Kvetuska dance in front of my eyes, being born just of the apple petals, living in a little house that is left to her by an old, sweet couple. Just watching her being awaken by a little fawn friend into the sad and cold morning and a fragile little cricket setting his broken clock on. And I tremendously thank my mom for reading such books to me, which extended my fantasy and led me sweetly through my childhood. I still love reading them today and I happen to keep finding new inspiration and emotional feed.
